What we collect, and when

We only collect what you type into a form, or send us directly. Each form asks for different things.

• Request a quote asks what you need, the size of the job and when you need it. It then asks your name and an email or WhatsApp number, with phone, company, country and notes optional.
• Linen quote asks for your email and phone number, the options you picked, the product you were viewing, a quantity and any notes.
• Sample request asks for your name, company, phone or WhatsApp, email, delivery address and the samples you chose.
• Enquiry forms on our pages ask for your name, company, email or WhatsApp, and what you are looking for.
• Newsletter asks for your email address only.
• Email, phone and WhatsApp messages reach us with whatever details you choose to include.

Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs for security. These record your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time.

We do not run analytics, advertising pixels or tracking scripts on this website. Our Cookie Policy lists the few cookies the site does use.

Why we use it

Our sales team uses your details to answer you, prepare a quotation, send samples and arrange delivery or installation. You receive a copy of each request you send, with its reference number.

If you join the newsletter, we email you news about the range. Every newsletter carries a way to stop receiving it.

We rely on three grounds under UAE law.

• You asked us to do something, such as quote or send samples, before a possible contract.
• You gave consent, which applies to the newsletter.
• We have a legitimate interest in keeping business records and protecting the website from misuse.

Who sees it

Your details go to the True Marketing team in Sharjah who handle quotations and samples. We never sell your information or rent it to anyone.

A few service providers handle it on our behalf, under contract and only for that purpose. The company hosting this website stores it. The service that sends our emails delivers your copy and our replies. A courier receives your name, phone number and address to deliver samples.

We may share it with authorities when a law or a court order requires us to.

Where it is kept

Your information is stored on the servers that host this website, and in our business email.

How long we keep it

We keep quote and sample requests while we work with you, and afterwards for the business records UAE law asks us to hold. Newsletter addresses stay until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

The UAE Personal Data Protection Law, Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021, gives you rights over your information. You can ask us to:

• show you the information we hold about you
• correct anything that is wrong or out of date
• delete it, where we no longer need it
• stop or limit how we use it
• send it to you, or another company, in a common format
• stop the newsletter, at any time

Email connect@floorsandlinen.com with your request. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act on it.

If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the UAE Data Office.

How we protect it

Every page of this website travels over an encrypted connection. Only staff who handle quotations and samples can open the requests you send, and their accounts are password protected.

Children

This website is for businesses and adults buying for their homes. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under eighteen.

Changes to this policy

When we change how we handle information, we update this page and the date at the top.
